How to Join

New members are asked to agree with the above-stated principles and to be prepared to offer and share examples of their own contributions and work in local development, e.g., innovative approaches and best practices involving such things as sustainable livelihoods, transportation, or improvements in security, communications, connectivity and accessibility for the physically impaired. In addition, WACAP members are also asked to pay a small annual fee to help defray administrative costs associated with managing the Alliance, its online platform and forums. The fee is rationalized on a sliding scale as follows:

  • Industrialized and OECD/DAC countries: US$ 1,500.00
  • Emerging market and low to middle income countries: $1,000.00
  • All others, including the LDCs: $500.00
  • Sponsorship opportunities to support the LDCs and low income countries are also encouraged and available.
